Powertrain Component Services

You name it and Rocky Mountain Powertrain fixes it. We specialize in servicing, rebuilding, and replacing off-highway transmissions, axles, and PTO’s. Our service technicians have experience working on powertrain components from a large assortment of brands and each hold certifications in specific areas of expertise which allows us to take on projects others can’t. Whether you know what’s wrong with your powertrain component or not, we’ll find the issue, provide you with honest repair options, fair pricing and quality work, every time!

Transmissions

We offer transmission re-builds on multiple brands, including, but not limited to, ZF, Carraro, Twin Disc, Transfluid, Dana Spicer/ Clark, Caterpillar and many more. Depending on location and need, customers can send us the transmission to be repaired or RMPT can pull the transmission from your machine. Since most off-highway equipment is built to last and supply can be difficult to find, re-built transmissions are frequently the quickest and most cost-efficient repair solution for our customers.

Axles

RMPT handles axle repairs both big and small. We work on everything from blown seals to failed parking brakes to overfilling issues. We tear down each axle, closely inspecting each component before issuing the repair quote, and source all parts through our expansive network of OEM’s and vendors.

Power Take Off’s

Our shop provides skilled PTO repair and rebuild services you can depend on. We have experience with many PTO brands and are an authorized service center for Twin Disc and Transfluid PTO’s. To ensure quality that meets and exceeds OEM specifications, RMPT uses OEM parts and repair manuals for all PTO repairs and has readily available parts for quick turnaround times.

Component Testing

The most important step to any repair, re-build, or overhaul is testing. At RMPT we fully test every repair project before returning components or equipment to our customers. Our shop is equipped with a Dynameter that allows us to run equipment at maximum thresholds, ensuring they withstand the same level of function they would in the field. We stand behind our work and know that it is easier to catch and fix problems early than to try to troubleshoot on the job.
